The series is the result of discussions with architect and professor-researcher Enric Llorach (MTPPA - UPC / Barcelona)

Martial Mingam’s images seem to critically turn around the very idea of anxiety. The center of the images is occupied by large images that remind us of de Chirico’s painting: lonely modern windows facing the abyss, vast surfaces of wall, inmense shadows projected from neighboring architectures or naked bridges that lead to mysterious doors hung up on a wall. As well, the images recall from Piranesi’s prisons to Ken Wong’s Monument Valley game. A large set of references that can also make us remember Archizoom or Superstudio dystopian paper architecture.
