Images by Martial Mingam, Caissons, might draw a parable from the artistic vanguards to nowadays where, in fact, the latter seems to override the former. As if, in its autonomous nature, art would be helpless. Mingam’s images seem to reside in a tension that questions the validity of certain approved paths and demands its subversion, by defying its autonomy and entering the world of politics and the economy.
